How to check the wear on your mountain bike tyre?
To measure the wear on your tyres and to know when they need replacing, you need to inspect the tread. Usual signs of wear include: - you can see the protective strip (or underlay) beneath the tread. - if the tread pattern on your bicycle tyre has worn away. If either of these two conditions is met, we recommend that you change your tyre.
How to remove your tyre
To remove a worn tyre, first deflate the inner tube once the wheel has been removed. Press on the sides to remove the tyre from the rim. Then use DECATHLON tyre levers (ref. : 8930710) to lever and remove the tyre over the edge of the rim. Attach a tyre lever on a spoke and repeat the operation until one side is completely detached.
