The stages of aquatic awakening

There are 3 stages to discovering water: - Familiarisation: build trust and overcome apprehension through fun games. The kid gets used to water. - Immersion and breathing: control your breathing to feel safe and put your head under water. - Floating and moving: develop independence and discover how the body behaves in water before moving around alone.
